Emotional Intelligence: Understanding Yourself and Others

The skill that quietly runs your life โ€” reading your own emotions, managing them under pressure, understanding other people, and handling the hard conversations that decide your relationships.

About

What this course covers

Intelligence and skill get you into the room; emotional intelligence decides what happens once you're there. It's the capacity to recognise what you're feeling and why, to manage your emotions rather than be run by them, to read and understand other people, and to handle relationships and hard conversations well. It shapes your relationships, your work, your leadership, and your peace of mind more than almost anything else โ€” and unlike IQ, it can be genuinely learned.

This course builds it from the ground up. You'll develop real self-awareness (naming your emotions, knowing your triggers), the ability to manage difficult feelings like anger and anxiety instead of being hijacked by them, genuine empathy for reading and understanding others, and the communication skills to handle difficult conversations, conflict, and difficult people without damage. It goes into the harder places too โ€” criticism, rejection, old emotional patterns, resentment โ€” and ends with a plan for lifelong emotional growth.

No pop-psychology fluff, no pretending emotions are simple. Just the learnable skill of understanding yourself and others, which turns out to matter more for a good life than almost anything else you could build.
