About

What this course covers

We spend years learning facts and skills, and almost no time learning the thing that most determines how our lives go: wisdom โ€” the practical ability to think clearly, judge well, and live rightly. Knowledge tells you what is; wisdom tells you what matters and what to do about it. It's the difference between being clever and being wise, and it's far more learnable than most people assume.

This course teaches practical wisdom from the ground up. You'll learn to think clearly (spotting your mind's default errors and reasoning well), make good decisions (weighing what matters, handling uncertainty), understand people and human nature, use your scarce time on what matters, handle adversity with equanimity, and build a genuinely good life around contentment, virtue, and meaning. It draws on the oldest and most practical wisdom humanity has developed โ€” Stoic, religious, and secular โ€” distilled into something you can actually use.

No dry theory, no pretending wisdom is only for philosophers. Just the practical ability to think, decide, relate, and live well โ€” which turns out to matter more for a good life than almost anything else, and which you can genuinely develop.
