Welcome — and what this course will cost you

Crypto rewards patience and punishes shortcuts. This course asks for about twelve focused hours. If you give it those hours you will finish able to hold your own money safely, which is a genuinely rare skill.

What you'll be able to do

• Explain what a blockchain is to someone else, in plain language
• Set up a self-custody wallet and back it up properly
• Send a transaction and verify it independently
• Recognise the four scams that catch nearly every beginner

What this course is not

It is not a list of coins to buy. Nobody here will tell you what to buy. The goal is that you become the kind of person who can work that out for themselves — and, more importantly, who can tell when someone else is guessing.

One rule, stated once and never softened

**Maby Academy will never ask you for a seed phrase, a private key, or a recovery phrase.** Not support, not an instructor, not a mentor, not me. Anyone who does — including someone using my name — is trying to steal from you. You will understand exactly why by the end of module 2.

How the lessons work

Opening a page does not complete it. Most lessons have an exercise, a quiz or a written assignment attached, and the lesson only completes when you have actually done the thing. That is slower. It is also the only reason the certificate at the end means anything.
